In essence I argue that the Scottish Labour Party can do without this distraction. While Scottish Labour is challenging the SNP for not focusing on the people’s priorities, the UK Labour leadership is leading us on a similar distraction.
I first drafted this piece before the Collins Review was published and my first version was somewhat more critical. I would argue that the Collins consultation is a much better paper than the dog whistle statements that preceded it. In particular, in recognises many of the collective values that we would regard as central to the principles of the Scottish Labour Party.
